Description of Problem:

Opening linked files using Coabis.web does not work.

Checks:

Internet Explorer 7 has default security settings which prevent it from opening files stored on the local workstation. This will manifest itself on Coabis.web running on stand-alone PCs by the user being unable to open, for example, Microsoft Word document files.

There is a work-around to bypass this security setting, which involves editing the local PC Windows Registry. Aker Solutions accepts no responsibility for any effect editing the registry may cause, and you are advised to contact your IT Department before attempting to modify the registry.
